Roles and Responsibilities
- The SC/ST Welfare Cell consider all grievances submitted in writing by an individual regarding working conditions, eve teasing and any other alleged injustice done to BC, Minority, SC/ST students. It shall have access to all files confidential or otherwise relevant to the individual's grievance.
- To identify potential education and professional development activities and inform and educate the same to all BC, Minority, SC/ST students.
- To design meaningful strategies to address challenging perspectives considering complexities of social inequality.
- Committee often meets the students and faculties belong to BC, Minority, SC/ST communities, to understand their problem and take necessary action and/or render them necessary advice/help to resolve the matter.
- Creating awareness among the BC, Minority, SC/ST students regarding the various Government and Non-Government scholarship schemes.
- Effective monitoring the implementation of reservation policy in the institution through the SWC.
- Counselling the students to help them overcome inferiority complex related to interaction with fellow students and personal grooming, etc.
